Which online services are available?
Choose between editing (vocal tuning, rhythm editing), analog or digital mixing and mastering for individual tracks and album productions, as well as our Sparkle service for single track editing or summing of stems.
Can a specific mixer be selected for my production?
Yes! Choose one of our legendary mixing consoles for your mix, depending on your needs. Simply let us know your choice in the text field of your order.
– EMI Marconi Console
– EMI TG12345 MK Q
– Neve 8016
– Neve 8068 MK II
– Neve Melbourne
– Universal Audio Tube Console
What equipment is used for my mix?
You have the unique opportunity to choose the color of an analogue mixing console in advance.
Depending on your specific project requirements (number of tracks, genre, special requests), our engineers will select the appropriate analog outboard equipment for your mix.
If you would like certain devices to be used for your individual tracks, please let us know in the relevant text field of your order, or please book our “Sparkle Service” directly.
Here you have a very extensive selection of analog and digital equipment for editing your recordings.
Which audio material is accepted?
We can process audio material from 44.1 KHz/16 bit up to DSD/32 bit. We recommend a minimum resolution of 88.2 KHz/24 bit for audio productions.
Feel free to provide us with WAV or AIFF files.
Your audio tracks must all be consolidated to a starting point (e.g. bar1/beat1).
Before consolidating each track, please make sure you have used IN, OUT & X-FADES.
The higher you set the sample rate & the bit depth already chosen for your recording, the more quality options we have at hand for further processing of your production.
Please make sure that there is enough headroom and strictly avoid any digital clipping, as well as unwanted distortion in your audio tracks.
Clipping cannot be removed in the mix. We cannot accept any digitally distorted tracks for processing.
We will not change the sample rate of your tracks. We edit your audio tracks in the same resolution in which it has been sent to us.
PLEASE SEND US YOUR AUDIO TRACKS IN THE SAME QUALITY AS YOU HAVE RECORDED THEM. AN ARTIFICIAL CHANGE (INCREASE) OF THE SAMPLE RATE & BIT DEPTH DOES NOT PROVIDE ANY SOUND IMPROVEMENT AND THEREFORE IS TO AVOID.
Do you accept session files from a DAW (e.g. Pro Tools Sessions)?
No, we only accept audio tracks that have been consolidated to a common starting point (e.g.: bar 1/beat 1).
How are audio tracks counted?
Each mono track is considered an individual track. A stereo track is counted as two individual tracks. Each track of a surround stem counts separately, e.g. 5.1 counts six individual tracks, 7.1 counts eight individual tracks.
How do you handle special requests?
Please let us know your details about your processing requests directly in the relevant text field. You are also welcome to upload songs to us as a reference to get an impression of your sound ideas.
Should I use effects on my tracks?
No! Please only send us audio tracks without recorded or rendered effects, unless you use a special effect that specifically shapes the character of the song (e.g. distortion sound from guitars, etc.). You are also welcome to upload songs to us for reference.
How should I best label my tracks?
If you send multiple songs to be edited, please make sure all tracks are clearly labeled.
Please always use the following scheme to label your tracks:
“01_TRACKNAME” (starting with 01 ascending).
Please also ensure that the information can be clearly assigned.
To do so, use the exact instrument name for each
Individual track (tom-tom, kick, snare, lead vocal etc..).
Please do not use musician names such as Tim, Bob, Peggy... to label your tracks.
If you consider these simple steps, it will save you and us a lot of time.
Should I use EQs or compressors when recording instruments?
Feel free to record your instruments the way that sounds best to you.
However, make sure that there is no clipping (digital distortion) when recording arises. Leave some headroom for your tracks to ensure optimal conditions for further sound treatments.
Should I normalize my tracks or use dithering?
In order to provide you with the best possible quality, please do not use normalization or dithering.
Is it possible to revise my mix?

If you would like to book another revision in advance, you can do this directly when ordering.
